The Brighton Pen Pal Charm Short Refill is essentially a standard multifunction D1 refill that has a longer plastic sleeve attaching it to the threaded knob. Almost every pen and/or refill maker offers substitutes for this refill, but most won’t have the correct size sleeve/knob. Just keep the existing one and replace the old refill with a new D1.
